Basketball fans get ready! October 29th marks the official opening of basketball season in South Carolina. The Lady Gamecocks will be trying win their 4th straight region championship. The Lady Gamecocks own a 27-1 record in their region over the last three years. This year's team wants to keep the winning tradition, our fans have come to expect, alive. While the Lady Gamecocks graduated a core of outstanding players, the team has a solid group of returnees. The key to this year's success will be the teams ability to play tenacious defense and score in transition. The team worked extremely hard this summer, especially in the weight room, to get stronger and faster.
