CONWAY - Sumter High School's Sutton Watson tossed a no-hitter to lift the Lady Gamecocks to a 7-0 varsity softball victory over Conway on Tuesday at the Conway field.
Watson finished the game with 14 strikeouts while walking just one batter. She was also 3-for-3 at the plate with a run batted in.
Erin Cook was 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI for the Lady Gamecocks, who improved to 12-8-1 overall and 4-4 in Region VI-4A. Alex Cataldo had two hits while Catherine Ortmann had a double and Whitney Saxon had a double and an RBI. |
