The Sumter Lady Gamecocks entered the State Playoffs as the #3 seed in District VIII this past week and had to travel to face the Berkeley Lady Stags on Thursday. Sumter defeated the Lady Stags 5-1 in 9 innings. Then on Saturday they took to the road again to play the #1 seed Summerville Lady Green Waves. This game was a tight one all the way to the end but the Lady Gamecocks pulled it out with a 2-1 win in 10 innings. The Lady Gamecocks will be playing for the District VIII Championship on Wednesday so come out and support these young ladies.
